Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ35K
Release date: September 15, 2009 This camera superseded the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28K. This is also a bridge-type camera in Panasonic's Lumix line. It fits between the point & shoot and DSLR category. Its small CCD sensor and lack of hot shoe belie its P&S origins. However, it does have an electronic viewfinder, optional conversion lenses & filters, RAW capture and fully manual aperture control. As with all of my Panasonic's Lumix cameras, it has an excellent Leica DC Vario-Elmarit lens. However, it has also 18X optical zoom. I think it is the perfect step up from a P&S style camera. I'm not alone as other reviewers think the same. I purchased mine from Newegg on 3 September 2010 for a total of $287.95. Reviews
After using the camera's excellent lens, I decided to expand the camera's capabilities with some accessories. Forums and Groups
